Makamz FA, Gaa Akanbi Kids Share the Spoils On Sunday

Makamz FA and Gaa Akanbi Kids played out a fiercely contested 1-1 draw in an entertaining youth football match that saw early drama, a brilliant comeback, and goalkeeping heroics.

The game kicked off at a fast pace, with Gaa Akanbi Kids drawing first blood just three minutes into the encounter. Starlet Adigun Abdulmalik showcased his sharp instincts, pouncing early to give his side a 1-0 lead and set the tone for what would be an intense battle.

Makamz FA struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, while Gaa Akanbi Kids looked threatening on the counter. They came close to doubling their advantage in the 27th minute, but Makamz FA goalkeeper Atoti Taiye produced a stunning save to keep his team in the contest.

The first half ended with Gaa Akanbi Kids maintaining their narrow 1-0 lead, thanks to Abdulmalik’s early strike.

Makamz FA returned stronger after the break and were eventually rewarded for their persistence in the 59th minute. Aliyu Mubarak found the back of the net with a composed finish after a clever assist from Mashood Abubakar, levelling the score at 1-1.

Both sides pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but solid defending and missed chances meant the scoreline remained unchanged.
