Unicorn FA Thrash Afrikan Kiddies 7-0 On Saturday

Unicorn FA delivered a commanding performance on Saturday afternoon, dismantling Afrikan Kiddies 7-0 under heavy rainfall at the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) pitch in Ilorin.

Despite the unfavourable weather, the Taiwo Awoniyi-led side displayed outstanding composure, intensity, and technical superiority from the opening whistle, overwhelming their opponents with relentless attacking football.

The scoring began in the 10th minute when Tijani Abdullahi broke the deadlock, calmly slotting home after Afrikan Kiddies failed to clear a corner kick.

Eight minutes later, Wilson Prosper doubled Unicorn FA’s advantage with a brilliant strike from outside the box, finding the bottom corner with precision.

Unicorn added a third almost immediately through Iyanda Abdulsamad, who fired in from inside the area with another low finish. The floodgates remained open as Abdulrasaq Nasirudeen made it 4-0 in the 22nd minute, capping a solo run with a tidy finish past the helpless goalkeeper, Sheu Sakariyau.

Sakariyau temporarily kept the scoreline in check with a fine save in the 25th minute, but Nasirudeen returned just two minutes later to score his second and Unicorn’s fifth goal, sending his side into the halftime break with a dominant five-goal cushion.

The second half followed the same script. Gidado Ajibola joined the scoresheet in the 37th minute before completing his brace in the 43rd minute to round off the scoring at 7-0.

With the emphatic win, Unicorn FA now climb to fourth on the log with seven points as they continue their quest for top honours in the 2025 Kwara Kiddies League campaign.
