Ex-Super Eagles Star Backs KFA Striker Tobi Adeoye for Future National Team Role

Former Super Eagles defender, Sam Elijah, has tipped Kwara Football Academy striker, Tobi Adeoye, for a bright future in Nigerian football, drawing comparisons with late national team legend Rashidi Yekini.

Elijah, speaking on the youngster’s talent, described Adeoye as a natural finisher whose primary instinct is to score goals rather than dwell on unnecessary flair.

“Honestly speaking, I will compare him with the likes of Rashidi Yekini and Ami Angua. These guys all they want is just to put the ball in the right position, they don’t have any business in dribbling, they just shoot at the goal,” Elijah said.

“He’s a goal poacher, and he’s a great finisher.  Yes, he can play for the Golden Eaglets, but honestly speaking, he needs the time; he’s still developing for the present Flying Eagles. For the present Flying Eagles, no? But the next one, the future one, yes?”

Adeoye has been in scintillating form in the Kwara Kiddies League over the last two seasons. The prolific forward emerged as the highest goalscorer in both the 2023 and 2024 editions of the league while representing Koller Football Academy.

Since switching to Kwara Football Academy at the start of the current campaign, Adeoye has continued his fine run, delivering goals and assists that have helped the defending champions maintain their position at the summit of the league.

With his consistent performances, Adeoye is now being touted as one of the brightest attacking prospects to watch in Nigerian youth football.
