Makamz Coach Vows to Challenge KFA for League Title

Head coach of Makamz Football Academy, Oniye Muhammed, has assured fans of the club’s determination to mount a serious challenge for the Kwara Kiddies League title when the second stanza resumes in September.

Oniye, whose side has impressed with their attacking style this season, revealed that the break will be used to fine-tune the squad and address areas that need improvement.

“We are going to use this break to correct our shortcomings and come back stronger. Our focus is to close the gap and challenge for the top position,” the young coach declared.

He further emphasized that the ambition of the team extends beyond results, stressing their commitment to the fans and the local community.

“Our dream is to bring joy to the faces of our fans and the entire community. They have been amazing with their support and belief in these players, and we want to repay them,” he added.

Makamz currently sit fourth on the log with 15 points from 10 matches, 11 points adrift of defending champions and league leaders Kwara Football Academy (KFA). Despite the gap, Oniye insists his players remain focused and hungry to compete at the highest level.

The second stanza of the Kwara Kiddies League kicks off on September 20.
