Kwara Kiddies League Proprietors Send Heartfelt Get-Well Message to Taiwo Awoniyi
Club proprietors of the Kwara Kiddies League have sent a heartfelt message of support and well-wishes to Nigeria international and Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, following his recent abdominal injury sustained during a Premier League match against Leicester City.
Awoniyi, who suffered a serious injury after colliding with the post in an attempt to score, underwent urgent surgery and is currently reported to be in an induced coma as part of his recovery.
The incident, which forced him out of the match and sparked widespread concern across the footballing world, has drawn an outpouring of support from fans and football institutions alike.
In their statement by Coach Oniye Muhammed, the Secretary of the Club’s Owners, the Kwara Kiddies League club proprietors commended Awoniyi’s bravery, describing his effort to continue playing despite being in visible pain as “inspirational.”
They urged the striker to prioritize his healing process and reminded him of the admiration and support he commands among the next generation of footballers in Kwara State and beyond.
