The Coach of Kwara Football Academy (KFA), Coach Ajayi Oluwaseyi, has dismissed talk of a possible high-scoring encounter against House of Prayer Football Academy (HOPA FA), insisting that predictions have no bearing on match outcomes ahead of their Kwara Kiddies League fixture.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated clash in the ongoing Kwara Kiddies League, Coach Ajayi stressed that his team remains fully focused on preparation and tactical execution rather than external expectations or scoreline forecasts.
“People predict a high score line against HOPA FA. Do you also share that sentiment?” he was asked.
Responding, the Kwara Football Academy tactician maintained a measured approach, warning against complacency.
“In football, predictions do not win matches. House of Prayer Football Academy HOPA FA is a good side, and every opponent deserves respect. We are concentrating on our preparation and approach to the game rather than the score predictions. Our goal is to perform well, execute our game plan, and secure a positive result. Whatever the score line, we know it will require hard work and determination on the pitch,” he said.
Coach Ajayi also addressed concerns about Kwara FA’s title ambitions following their recent draw against Surprise FC, a result that led to questions about whether their quest to retain the league crown had suffered a setback.
Dismissing such concerns, he reaffirmed that the team remains firmly in contention.
“Not at all. While we would have preferred to secure all three points, a draw is part of football. The competition is still open, and we remain focused on our objective. We will learn from the game, work on our shortcomings, and continue fighting for positive results in our remaining matches. Our ambition to retain the title remains intact,” he stated.
With the next fixture against HOPA FA approaching, KFA are expected to intensify preparations as they look to return to winning ways and strengthen their position in the standings.
