The Kwara Kiddies League Selected team began their South-West Tour on a winning note, securing a convincing 4-1 victory over Ilaji FC in their opening friendly on Tuesday.
After conceding in the first half, the youngsters produced an improved and clinical performance after the break, scoring four goals to complete a comfortable comeback.
Nasirudeen Rasaq started the turnaround in the 59th minute with a fine volley from the edge of the box before Abdulsamad Wahab headed home the second goal three minutes later.
Tobi Adeoye extended the advantage in the 75th minute with a spectacular strike from midfield, while Oluwaseyi Adeyemi completed the scoring in the 87th minute, calmly finding the bottom corner to seal the 4-1 win.
The South-West Tour is designed to expose the young players to new challenges and provide valuable opportunities to further enhance their growth and development as they continue their football careers.
The Kwara Kiddies League Selected will face the Ilaji Senior Team FC in a rematch on Wednesday morning before travelling to Lagos, where they are scheduled to take on Sporting Lagos as part of the tour.
