After a closely contested first half in which both teams created promising opportunities but failed to break the deadlock, Rectitude FA returned from the interval with renewed attacking intent in search of the opening goal.
Their persistence paid off in the 53rd minute when Abdulsomod Balogun found the back of the net with a composed finish, handing Rectitude FA a deserved lead.
