KFA captain Aina Olarenwaju has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s highly anticipated clash against Koller Football Academy, insisting that thorough preparation and discipline will be key to securing all three points.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Olarenwaju said the team is in high spirits after putting in the necessary work on the training ground and is fully focused on delivering a strong performance.
“We’re very confident because we’ve prepared well for this game,” Olarenwaju said. “We know Koller are a strong team, so we won’t underestimate them. Our focus is on giving our best, staying disciplined, and hopefully getting the three points.”
Despite growing expectations surrounding KFA, the captain dismissed suggestions that his side should be considered overwhelming favourites, stressing that respect for the opposition remains a priority.
“People can have their opinions, but we don’t focus on being favourites,” he added. “We respect Koller and know they’ll be motivated. Our job is to perform well on the pitch, and if we do that, we’ll give ourselves a great chance of winning.”
Olarenwaju’s comments reflect KFA’s determined but cautious approach as they prepare for what is expected to be a fiercely contested encounter.
While acknowledging Koller Football Academy’s quality, the captain believes his side’s preparation and commitment will give them a strong platform to claim victory.
