Not to be outdone, La Planet FA responded swiftly just eight minutes later. Issa AbdulMuiz delivered a superb cross, and Surajudeen Toheeb displayed exceptional aerial prowess to head the ball home, leveling the score at 1-1.
La Planet FA’s attacking flair continued to pose problems for Surprise FA’s defense, and in the 20th minute, they took the lead. Ajia Muhammed found the back of the net, courtesy of a perfectly timed pass from Issa AbdulMuiz, doubling La Planet FA’s advantage.
The second half saw both teams creating opportunities, but the chances went unutilized. The match remained intense and fiercely contested, with both sides eager to find the back of the net. However, solid defending and some missed opportunities ensured the scoreline remained unchanged.
When the final whistle blew, La Planet FA emerged as the deserving winners, securing a 2-1 victory over Surprise FA.
The win sees La Planet maintain their title ambitions, cutting the gap at the top of the table to one point, at least for 24 hours. Surprise FA will look to quickly put this one behind them and could drop down to 8th depending on other results at the end of the game week.
