Barça Kiddies produced a sensational second-half display to secure a commanding 3-0 victory over LA Planet SA, with Muritala Azeez stealing the show with a stunning hat-trick.
The encounter, played on a competitive afternoon, saw both sides locked in a goalless stalemate for much of the first half. Barça Kiddies thought they had broken the deadlock in the 21st minute, but the effort was ruled out for offside.
The momentum shifted after the break, with Barça Kiddies coming out firing. Aleji Akorede had a golden opportunity to give his side the lead in the 34th minute but failed to convert.
Just two minutes later, the deadlock was finally broken. Muritala Azeez slotted home the opener after a well-timed assist from Soliu Kamaldeen.
The forward doubled his tally almost immediately in the 38th minute, calmly finishing to make it 2-0 and put Barça firmly in control.
Ajayi Vincent nearly added a third with a brilliant free-kick effort that struck the woodwork, but it was Muritala Azeez who completed his dream outing, sealing his hat-trick in the 47th minute with a composed finish from an Ahmed Habeeb assist.
