The Kwara Kiddies League has recognized seven standout players who excelled during the month of August, all vying for the coveted Player of the Month award.
Among the nominees is Umar Abubakar from Koller FA, a goalkeeper who achieved an impressive five clean sheets in six matches, conceding only two goals in the final game of the month.
Adeleke Isaiah, also a goalkeeper from KFA, matched Abubakar’s clean sheet record with five in six games, including one as a second-half substitute, while conceding just one goal in a 3-1 victory.
Eko Martins, a center back from KFA, made a significant impact by scoring four goals and securing five clean sheets across six games. His scoring contributions included two goals in a 3-0 win, one in a 1-0 victory, and another in a 3-1 match.
Azeez Afeez, a defensive midfielder for Afrikan Kiddies FA, scored two goals and contributed to four clean sheets over six games, netting one goal in each of his team’s 1-0 wins.
Sheu Abdulraheem, a forward from Busari FA, found the back of the net three times and assisted once, showcasing his skills with two goals and an assist in a 3-1 win, along with one goal in a 1-2 loss.
Tobi Adeoye, another forward from Koller FA, had a remarkable month, scoring seven goals in six games. His scoring highlights included two goals in both a 4-0 win and a 2-0 victory, as well as a goal in a 3-0 win and one in a 2-2 draw.
Lastly, Abdulhameed Yunus, also a forward for Koller FA, netted three goals and provided one assist in six games, scoring in a 4-0 win, a 3-0 victory, and contributing to a 2-2 draw.
