In an intense match between SGFC Athletics and LA Planet, it was LA Planet who emerged victorious with a 3-1 win.
The game kicked off with an explosive start as Ademola Waliyullahi of LA Planet scored a stunning goal in the 19th minute with a powerful strike, putting them ahead 1-0.
Sulyman Abdulhafeez extended LA Planet’s lead two minutes after the restart, placing a well-calculated shot into the bottom left corner to make it 2-0.
Just three minutes later, Abdulhafeez struck again, completing his brace and securing a comfortable 3-0 lead for LA Planet at the 30-minute mark.
SGFC Athletics managed to pull one back when they were awarded a penalty for a foul on Abdulsamad Jimoh. Surajudeen Toheeb stepped up and successfully converted the penalty in the 43rd minute, bringing the score to 3-1.
Despite a spirited effort from SGFC Athletics, LA Planet’s early dominance proved insurmountable, as they continued their unbeaten start to the season.
