Unicorn Football Academy produced a spirited second-half comeback to defeat House of Prayer Football Academy 4-2 in an entertaining six-goal encounter in the 2026 Kwara Kiddies League on Saturday.
House of Prayer FA made the brighter start and took the lead through Victor Ezekiel, who reacted quickest to slot home a rebound from close range.
Unicorn FA, however, restored parity before the break after Sobur Imam inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, ensuring both sides went into halftime level.
The second half belonged to Unicorn FA as Sambo Abdulmalik put his side ahead in the 53rd minute before Abdulrasaq Nasirudeen extended the advantage four minutes later.
Sambo then completed his brace in the 64th minute, finishing off another attacking move to give Unicorn a comfortable three-goal cushion.
House of Prayer FA pulled one back in the closing stages through Soliu Kamaldeen, whose stunning long-range strike flew into the top corner, but it was only a consolation as Unicorn held on to claim an impressive 4-2 victory.
The win secured maximum points for Unicorn FA and strengthened their bid to challenge for the 2026 Kwara Kiddies League title, while House of Prayer FA were left to rue a promising start that ultimately ended in defeat.
